Jerry

  Jerry

Jerry came to us in Spring 2010. He was 2½ years old, already neutered and the much loved companion to a Lady living in South Wales. Sadly his mistress had been diagnosed with a degenerating health problem, and it was recommended she should to be moved into sheltered accommodation.
Her son and daughter had dealt with R.I.N. before and assured us that if they didn't already have several dogs of their own, they would themselves have taken Jerry on-board.
Anyway he came to us, and went straight into our Commercial Kennel facility.
We had no problems at all with him and after just 6 weeks in mid-June a seemingly suitable
home came along and off he went to live with a very nice couple, She, supposedly experienced
with large breeds and her partner not, and their extremely laid back Rott. bitch, all was well
......for 2 months.
Again to cut a long story short! Jerry came back, Arriving without warning,
at Ann's gate, with a very distressed lady, saying she just could not cope with him anymore, as the previous evening he had bitten (not seriously), a male 'Biker' friend who was a guest
at their Barbecue.  At this point she also mentioned that he bit her soon after getting him (again not seriously ).
Both incidents were to do with grabbing items out of his mouth, carried out incorrectly
and in the second instance possibly with an alcoholic influence.
Jerry also did not like her friend’s bitch that she minded on occasions.
So Jerry has now been back with us for almost 7 years, he is now nearly 10 years old.
He has shared his accommodation with many bitches that have come and gone
on to their forever homes, and he is happiest with confident dominant ones
that make him ' toe the line!'
He needed rules & boundaries, from both canines and humans, to him it's security.
He is affectionately known as ' Jeremiah Bullfrog' as he froths at the mouth, (much like a frog),
but for different reasons, as when he is made to sit and wait for his food.
He is a very handsome chap & knows it!
Oh, and nobody here has been bitten !
