LIZZIE

Just sending in an update on Lizzie and attached some photos taken this morning (23.03.08), as you can see has got an active life.  I have started taking her to beginners agility lessons and she is so good and quick to learn, she is a star in the class! – although she is the only Rottweiler there as the rest are mostly collies so we got a few funny looks but everyone has warmed to her now and they are really pleased with her as she can concentrate better than the others (as long as I have food I can get her to do anything)
Will keep you posted on her progress and hope we can get into some local agility shows next year!

TARA.

Just a short note to let you know how Tara is settling in ,can only use one word FANTASTIC!
She is such a wonderful girl we have all fallen  in love with her and lisa and i both thank you very much for the help and advice you have given us ,we have had a trainer in for zeus and Tara  and he was very impressed in our work with Zeus and the effort you and your team have put into Tara we hope to keep it up and she now is a very serious member of our family
Zeus mainly spends his time jumping all over her and Tara as always wins ,putting him in his place often ,but they have seemed to be bonding and although the play at times is rough and loud we feel its only play and no blood has been spilt !!!!!!!!!!!!  ,Zeus copies all that Tara does and has an excellent impression of her already
She really is such a fantastic dog and we are both so proud to have her ,lisa says we cant imagine our lives without her.

FYNN

FYNN.

Fynn what a character. When we first saw him he melted our hearts. All gangly legged and heart melting eyes. How could we resist!!! But it wasn't our decision to make, it was Toby's our Jack Russell. Everything rested on his approval!!! Sounds strange, but only 6 weeks earlier he had lost his best mate, our first Rottweiler Monty. We didn't want to replace him but we wanted a new friend for Toby as he was lonely. So when had the 1st meeting we were apprehensive. Toby was petrified, maybe he had forgotten how big a rottweiler is!!! We knew we had to try again, but on neutral ground. So 5 days later we met up with Graham and Fynn and decided to go for a walk. What a difference outside the house. Toby was no longer a jibbering wreck, and he did put Fynn in his place!! So we decided to keep Fynn that day and our house hasn't been the same ever since. We had forgotten what it was like to have a pup in the house!!! Fynn had no doggie manners when we got him but that is changing day by day. He is still very boisterous but we wouldn't have him any other way. He has brought a lot of life back into Toby and they are now best friends. We're glad we had the opportunity to give Fynn another chance in life and wish we could the same for more Rottweilers.

A huge thank you to Rottweilers in Need

SASHA.

Hi Graham,
As you can see by the attached photo Sasha is no longer in need - In fact she's doing great. She really has settled down and is finding her feet nicely. She still hasn't grown into that tail yet though.

Keep up the good work - Jayne Painter.

ELLIE.

Dear All,
We recently adopted Ellie. Having 3 other dogs and 4 horses it was with a little trepidation we thought another dog would be a good idea. Also, being 1st time Rottweiler owners we wondered what we might be in for!!
Ellie now lives in 13 acres of land and owns her own pond which she loves to sit by for many a happy hour. She has put on some weight and looks really fit. We have had no problems with her and she loves the other dogs and is really good with the horses. She visited our local horse show where there was a small dog show.No prizes were won but she was the best dog there in every catogory!!! She was calm and gentle with every other dog, child, horse etc that she met. She is getting a great sense of humour now that she is settling in properly, it always takes a little time. She seems to have inherited a vertical take off technique, perhaps she is part Tigger or something!! Absolutely hilarious!! I cannot imagine how you do this job without getting very attached to these lovely canines. Would not swap her for the world.
